Course Description:

This 2-day Course is for people who are already working in the guiding world, but lack a official Certification. However, people who want to get started in guiding are also welcome.
During these 2 days, we will mostly learn about horses, their bodies and about their behavior. We will also learn how to prepare horse for a horseback ride. We will learn about saddles and extra gear and how to take good care of it.
Most important of all, we will work on tips and suggestions on how to become a better and very competent horseback riding guide.
As part of the course we will also work on the planning of horseback riding activities, legal aspect of the job, safety and of course leadership.
Though the time is limited, we will also put especial emphasis on improving your ow riding tecniches, and help with tips and suggestions on ‘how to horseback ride with groups safely’.

What is The Course About:

I. Withing 2 days, November 22 and 23 2025, people joining this course will be immenced in the horse-back riding guiding world.

This means that we will cover most important aspect of horses and guiding as a job.

Group will:

• Learn more about horses, their bodies and their behavior.
• Emphasize the taking care of horses and constant maintenance saddles and extra gear.
• Develop guiding skills: patience, constant group support and in-field decision making.
• Learn to communicate with people well: Give clear directions, get feed-back and information reinforcement.
• Improve personal horse-back riding techniques.
• Learn how to take good care of horses in general: horse-shoeing, food, esthetic, water and deworming.
• Plan safe activities depending on different goups, their goals and people’s personal horse-back riding skills.
• Evaluate risks involved in any outdoor activity: terrain, group riding levels, weather and other animals.
• Help develop community awareness of the potential of tourism in the country.
